WAYS TO CAPTURE
What are the different methods used to capture and analyze motion?

Optical-Passive
A camera emits a specific wavelength of light from the built-in strobe which bounces off reflective markers and picked up by the camera. The 2D centroid positions of the markers are sent to the software from multiple cameras to calculate the 3D positioning.

Video Markerless
Video cameras capture subjects without using markers. There are many different types of cameras that can be used, including webcams, machine vision and SDI.

Optical-Active
Active markers are alight source, which require a local power supply. This light source is picked up by the camera's sensors.

Inertial
Ideal to use where a confined volume is not practical, like running a marathon.
